Tansen, which is situated about 302km away from Kathmandu and is about 123km away from Pokhara is a light himalayan town and is situated in the top of a hill called Shreenagar Daada. Tansen is a suitable place to visit in every season of the year. Tansen is the headquarter of palpa district which has been administrative headquarters for the long time and this place is home or residence of Buddhist and Hindu people. Visitors can visit different points on kali Gandaki river such as Rambhapana and Satyawati Lake and Ramdighat and Ranighat Palace.
Visitors can view a magnificent view of the Himalayas from Shreenagar Daada and in the west to Gaurishanker from Dhaulagiri in the north east. Tinau river valley, Mahabharat and Churia hills can be viewed from the Tansen. Visitor can choose any place in Jomsom, Dorpatan, Annapurna or Ghoripani for the long trek.
