LALITPUR

Lalitpur is about five kilometers south east of Kathmandu City and southern bank of Holy Bagmati River. Lalitpur is full of Buddhists monastries and Hindu temples, handicraft materials and beautiful carvings. Main attractions of Lalitpur for the tourists are as follows:
1. Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Sqaure is main centre of attraction for the tourists. The Durbar Square is fully covered with ancient temples, materials, shrines and famous for wonderful carvings. The ancient Royal palace is main attraction of this square. Mul Chowk, Mani Keshav Narayan Chowk, Sundari Chowk is the main chowks of this square.There is Degu Taleju Temple in between the Mani Keshav Narayan Chowk and Mul Chowk.
2. Krishna Mandir
Krishna Mandir, which is completely made of stones is one of the temple of Nepal having 21 shrines.
3.Mahabouddha Temple
Mahabouddha Temple, which consists of different images of Lord Buddha is a temple made of clay bricks. In fourteenth century, it was
constructed by Avay Raj, an architect.
4. Kumbeshwor
Kumbeshwor, which is being constructed during the reign of King Jayasthiti Malla is 5 storyed temple of Lord shiva. On the day of Janai Purnima, a fair is also celebrated every year.
5. Jagat Narayan Temple
Jagat Narayan Temple, which is situated on the bank of holy Bagmati river is tall temple of God Bishnu constructed in red brick. This temple has statue of Garuda on a stone pillar and 5 images of stone.
6. The Ashoka Stupas
At the 4 corners of Patan, there are 4 ancient and wonderful stupas. It was built by Emperor Ashoka in 250 BC and are situated in Teta, Pulchowk, Ebahi, Lagankhel.
7. Zoo
Zoo, which is used to be the Rana Prime Minister's wife is only one zoo located in Jawalakhel. It is daily open from 10am to 5pm having different species of birds, animals and reptiles.
8. Bajra Barahi
Bajra Barahi, which is situated in the village of Chapagaun is about 9 km south of Patan City is a beautiful and famous picnic spot and also famous for Barahi Mandir.
9. Phulchowki
Phulchowki, which is situated about 10 km south east of Patan City is a mountain of 2759m above the sae level. At the top of the hill, Buddhist shrine is locted and can be reached by road. It is also good spot for hiking.
Hirayan Varna Mahavihar, Rudra Varna Mahavihar, Accheshwor Mahavihar, Machhendra and Min Nath Temple, Tibetan Center, Godavari are other major tourists attractions.

GOSAINKUNDA AND CHARIKOT

gosainkunda Gosainkunda, which is famous for Hindu pilgrimage is a religious lake. Gosainkunda is situated at an altitude of 4360m and 133km north east of Kathmandu City. The suitable starting point for Gosainkunda is from Dhunche. Gosainkunda is surronded by higher landscape on the south and by high mountains on the north. There are 9 famous lakes in Gosainkunda. They are Ganesh Kunda, Bhairav Kunda, Saraswati Kunda, Surya Kunda etc.
charikotCharikot is situated about 135km east of Kathmandu City and is also the headquarter of Dolakha District. Dolakha, which can reached from Kathmandu City in three or four hours is the home place of the Newari people. Dolakha is famous for the Dolakha Bhimsen Temple and for the fabulous views of Mountain. Kalin chowk Temple, which is popular in Dolakha District is also situated at an altitude about 4432m above the sea level from where we can view Gauri Shanker Himal, Ganesh Himal etc.

DAMAN AND HELAMBHU

daman Daman, which is at an altitude about 2400 above the sea level is about 80km south west of the Kathmandu City. Daman is famous for the wonderful and beautiful view of the snowy himalayas and is located on the Tribhuvan Highway. The major peaks such as Mt. Everest, Gaurishanker, Phurbi Chyachu, Annapurna, Choba Charme etc. can be clearly viewed from Daman. Long range telescopes is being fitted on the view tower of Daman from which farest place can be viewed easily. Simple accomadations are available for the visitors in Daman.
Helambhu, which is famous for thehelambhu pleasant and suitable climate is situated about 71km north east of the Kathmandu City. Visitors having short time to trek can have trekking in this place. Different Buddhist Monastries are available in this region. The main starting point to Helambhu are Panchkhaal and Sundarijal. Simple types of accomodations are available in this region for the visitors.

TANSEN

Tansen, which is situated about 302km away from Kathmandu and is about 123km away from Pokhara is a light himalayan town and is situated in the top of a hill called Shreenagar Daada. Tansen is a suitable place to visit in every season of the year. Tansen is the headquarter of palpa district which has been administrative headquarters for the long time and this place is home or residence of Buddhist and Hindu people. Visitors can visit different points on kali Gandaki river such as Rambhapana and Satyawati Lake and Ramdighat and Ranighat Palace.
Visitors can view a magnificent view of the Himalayas from Shreenagar Daada and in the west to Gaurishanker from Dhaulagiri in the north east. Tinau river valley, Mahabharat and Churia hills can be viewed from the Tansen. Visitor can choose any place in Jomsom, Dorpatan, Annapurna or Ghoripani for the long trek. Suitable accomodations are available for the visitors in Tansen.

KAKANI


kakani1Kakani is one of the most attractive and beautiful place to visit outside the valley. Kakani is full of remarkable beauties. Most of the visitors or tourists can reached from Kathmandu to kakani easily by buses. Kakani is at the height of 1982m above the sea level and about 29 km north west of Kathmandu Valley. Visitors visit here because people can see magnificent view of the the north western himalayan ranges and Kathmandu Valley.

Visitors are attracted their in the holiday to view beautiful alpine scenery and the Himalayan Panorama. Visitors should not miss to see the view of sunset which can be viewed from Kakani.

NAMCHE BAZAAR

Namche Bazaar1 Namche Bazaar, which is situated on the lap of Khumbu Himal Range is about 245 km east of Kathmandu. From the name of Sagarmatha, the highest peak of the world, the name Namche Bazaar has been developed. Namche Bazaar is the main entrance to himalayan region. Chitwan is the origin of Sherpas who lives there, have own internatinal renown as the best climbers to the peaks of mountains.

To get to Namche Bazaar, there are only two ways either by bus from kathmandu to jiri and after that trek upto namche bazaar acrossing Lukla. CHITWAN

Chitwan1 Chitwan, which is situated about 120 km south west of Kathmandu is also a district of Nepal. Chitwan has become much popular and attractive because of the famous and first National Park of Nepal, Chitwan National Park. Chitwan is one of the Nepal's largest foreign region with different species of wildlife such as different species of deer, the most rare one horned rhinoceros, wildboar ,dolphin, crocodile, leopard, different species of birds, tiger, different kinds of snakes, bear, elephant, panda, royal Bengal tiger, monkey, horses, and other different rare animals.

Chitwan2Visitors who visit to chitwan may view the park by ride on elephant back, as on camel back, nature walk, and on Jungle treks.
